Womens are the Integral part of the world which make it meaningful as family by her beautiful essence of Unconditional Love and emotions . On the 8th of March International Women’s day is celebrated ; this day represents the historic path that women all over the world have made to improve their lives. It highlights the fact that, while much has been accomplished, there is still much more to be done .

History

For over a century, International Women's Day has been observed. Clara Zetkin, a German Marxist from the early twentieth century, was the first to organise it in 1911. Zetkin was born in the German town of Wiederau in 1857. She was a teacher with links to the Social Democratic Party (SPD), which is now one of the country's two main political parties. She was involved in both the labour movement and the women’s movement.

In the 1880s, when anti-socialist laws were enforced by German leader Otto von Bismarck, Zetkin went into a self-imposed exile in Switzerland and France. During this time, she wrote and distributed proscribed literature, and met leading socialists of the time. Zetkin also played a significant role in the formation of the Socialist International.

Upon her return to Germany, she became the editor of Die Gleichheit (‘Equality’) — SPD’s newspaper for women — from 1892 to 1917. In the SPD, Zetkin was closely associated with the far-left thinker and revolutionary Rosa Luxemburg. In 1910 — three years after she became a co-founder of the International Socialist Women’s Congress — Zetkin proposed at a conference that Women’s Day be celebrated in every country on February 28.

The conference comprised 100 women from 17 countries, with unions, socialist parties, working women’s clubs and female legislators unanimously approving the suggestion. Women’s Day was observed for the first time in 1911. Two years later, in 1913, the date was changed to March 8, and it continues to be celebrated as such every year. This year, we can all choose to challenge everything that has been holding us back, and become better allies.

What is this year's theme?

Every year on the occasion of International Women's Day there are different themes. The International Women's Day was first celebrated in the year 1996 and at that time the theme of 'Celebration of the past, plan of the future' was laid by the United Nations. At the same time, if we talk about the theme of this year 2021, this year "Women in leadership: an equal future in a COVID-19 world".

On the occasion of International Women's Day, this theme underlines the contribution of women around the world as health care workers etc. during the corona virus epidemic. Every year, through the theme, an attempt is made to make this day extremely special. Women are also respected on this day in offices, schools, government institutions, etc., so that they can feel special on this day.

Women of the world want and deserve an equal future free from stigma, stereotypes and violence; a future that’s sustainable, peaceful, with equal rights and opportunities for all. To get us there, the world needs women at every table where decisions are being made .

Happy International Women’s day to all the incredible women out there !
